Dr Andrew Owen is an experienced General Practitioner who graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1990. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2006 and holds vocational registration in General Practice. Born in Adelaide and now living in Stirling in the Adelaide Hills, Dr Andrew owned and operated his own medical practice in Stirling for 20 years before working as a locum across Australia, including rural Queensland, Tamworth, Kangaroo Island and northern Tasmania, before discovering New Norfolk. Dr Andrew enjoys all aspects of family medicine, caring for patients from newborns through to older adults. His clinical interests include women’s and men’s health, mental health, minor surgery, skin checks and removals, including benign and malignant lesions, and cosmetic injectables and fillers. Outside of medicine, Dr Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, snow skiing, gardening, gold detecting, sapphire fossicking, astronomy and philosophy. He also enjoys cooking for his family, inspired by his Hungarian grandmother’s traditional cooking.
